GETTING THERE

Tapawera is a small rural community on the upper reaches of the Motueka River, 58 kilometres southwest of Nelson.

If travelling by car on State Highway 6 take the turn off at Kohatu, Tapawera is a further 9 kilometres down the Motueka Valley Highway. Travel from Motueka is 46.9 kilometres down the Motueka Valley Highway.

For those wishing to cycle to the event, the Cycle Trail presently extends from Nelson to Norris Gulley through the Spooner’s Railway Tunnel. From Norris Gulley to Tapawera currently requires cycling on the main road.

PARKING

Clearly defined Parking will be available in and around the village, and on the Sunday there will be parking available in the historic Military Training Campground paddocks.

There is a free park and ride shuttle option for those wishing to camp and / or park their vehicles at Quinney’s Bush, with regular buses throughout the day.
