VOLUNTEERS

We are looking for volunteers on both days of the weekend to help with:

  • Car parking
  • Van / bus drivers
  • Ticket collectors / ushers
  • Information stand supervisors
  • Kidszone – readers / supervisors
  • Merchandise retail stall
  • End of day tidy up of buildings – chair collection / sweep floors / check washrooms
  • Waste management

What shifts?

Volunteer roles

Includes marking out paddocks, erecting bunting, flags and signage, seating, putting up tents, erecting stage and podium. Some pre event on Wednesday 7th, also Friday 9th - Sunday 11th
Required Saturday and Sunday
Required Saturday for park and ride from Quinney’s Bush to Tapawera, and again Sunday for same, plus shuttle service for those unable to walk in the parade
Required Saturday at Tapawera Area School and Sunday at the Military Training Camp grounds
Readers / Supervisors. Required Sunday at the Kidszone Tent. We will require a Police check.
Required Saturday at Tapawera Area School and Sunday at the Military Training Camp grounds
Required Friday 9th – Sunday 11th to rearrange seating, sweep floors, check toilets
Supervise bin placement Friday 9th and oversee collection Sunday 11th or Monday 12th
Help with collecting and returning seating, vintage vehicles and equipment from Friday 9th – Sunday 11th
Seating including haybales returned, event sound system and podium etc disassembled, parking signs and cordons, paddock cleanup, School and Shedwood Hall seating put away, sweep / clean toilets, Vintage vehicles
Supervise toilet, water tank and rubbish bin collection, signage down, bunting and flags down
